The Bible speaks about our redemption in terms of a purchase. The Apostle Paul said to his people, you are not your own. What does that mean? You are not your own. You might say, “Of course, I'm my own. Who else's am I? I'm free. I don't belong to anybody else.” Paul said, “Oh, yes, you do. You are not your own because you've been bought. You've been purchased. You have been bought and you have been paid for, and the price that was paid was the blood of Jesus.”
